Happy Birthday John 50 today! Can't believe my cousin is 50 today! Have a fab day John. Bedroom had another coat of paint it's taking a while as its a big bedroom with a dressing room so poor Rich is very busy doing lots of coats, we are painting everything white so he doesn't have such a big job in the future just touching up hopefully. We went to Ikea to get the cupboards for over our bed here's a sneak peak been as you have been patient! Although we have been busy we always make time for fun.
Rich said, "As I have worked so hard, he will paint the room today when he comes back from work" he should be back for 3pm so I am excited now to see how fresh it looks.
As we were waiting for coats to dry we went food shopping, also picked up a paddling pool while in Tesco. Popped to Dunelm's and brought some goodies for the room can't wait for it to be done. Having chilli for tea tonight yummy. Spent the entire day clearing more of my room and sorting through lots of junk have put old books in a bag for the charity shop and other items that we know longer use. I have that lovely feeling of a sense of achievement and contentment it was defiantly worth the hard work, Rich was impressed.
Brendyn has beavers this evening so I have cooked a quick tea of chicken and chips. Today our car has been delivered and the children were all excited and called her "Elsa from frozen" as she is silver grey, my dad has always named his cars we had Betsy when I was Olivia's age and Georgie which was a blue cavalier, we have had lots of cars over the years and all have been named but since the children have been old enough they have named them. We have had a tradition since Richard changed his car for the first time when we were "a couple" which was to test drive it and go for a meal, so as it was a school day and early to bed we settled for a drive to the local pub had a drink and came home, it was enough for Rich to get used to driving her before Luton the next day.
Happy Birthday Eliza Faith 1 today! Were back home today as Richard hasn't worked at his company long, he hasn't accumulated enough holiday to have in a week, but considering were away every month for at least a weekend or a long weekend we don't mind. So after tidying away the un used clothes and washing the used. I had a clear out in our bedroom as we are decorating it after 9 years December 2005. We decorated it brown 9 years ago as Wimpey's had put brown tiles in our en-suite. I was lucky enough to find the towels to match and washing basket in Debenhams. We also painted the en-suite chocolate brown so its nice and cosy. Our bed is a leather bed I love it, it is so, so cosy and its real leather to it came from Cousins and was ordered from Italy. The bathroom remains the same but the bedroom is having a revamp, mainly because of this shelf it was put up for baby bottles, my inhalers and the phone out of reach of children, but now they are grown up there is no need and we don't like it. Because the ceiling slopes we never fitted any cupboards above the bed but recently while in Ikea we found sections of cupboards that will now work with what we want to achieve, books hidden away, not on show but close at hand, but without having to look at them at the bottom of our bed on the book shelves. Items in the room remain brown in keeping with our en-suite, like my ottoman for storing curtains and bedding sets. Watch this space!!Happy Wedding Anniversary Mum and Dad 52 Years! We had a nice evening celebrating their Anniversary. The meals were lovely but huge! It didn't take dad long to polish off his ribs.
Milton KeynesMilton Keynes has a really nice shopping centre, ours loved the Disney shop the best it reminded them of their holiday last year to Disney Land, Olivia quite happily sat and watched Frozen which is our favourite film.
Milton KeynesI recommend walking around Furzton Lake with pushchairs, kids scooters and a disability scooter, we all had so much fun. There were lots of baby Canadian geese and ducks.
It was nice to have a lie in this morning, we packed our cases today as we are off to Milton Keynes, Premier Inn for a holiday with nanny and granddad.
Happy Birthday CarolineToday is the last day of school, they break up for Whitsun. They have a PTFA sponsor day today to raise money for school funds, so as I am part of the PTFA have been very busy.
Brendyn's year had a "scooterthon day" where they all did stunts and had lots of fun instead of lessons. Rich brought these home on his way back from work, were very excited to have a look through them. |
