Cornwall ~ 1996 ~ August Six Weeks Holidays.
Richard and I had our first holiday in Cornwall in my mum and dads caravan. We used to horse ride, take boat trips and have long days on the beach, our favorite place was Padstow.
We got engaged on Watergate Bay beach the sun was setting, we had been for a lovely meal and then I thought we were ending the evening with a stroll on the beach, when Richard surprised me and proposed, we had been best friends for a year and met in March 1995.
There after it was our special place and we went every year untill we got married in 2002.
After being together for 3 years we brought a house together in 1999, we did not want to rush life and enjoyed every minute.
The house was a shell the man that lived there for 90 years had not done much to it, so we had a lot of hard work. We wanted to do it up and then get married so we could move in together "traditionally" so we remained at parents homes while we were doing it up, but we were paying rent at parents and doing up a house and lots of travelling, working full time, there just was not enough hours in the day, so I moved in with Jenny and Steve and then into Penncricket Lane in 1999.
With my work all the holidays we had were term time school holidays,so we used the caravan in Cornwall for all our holidays. Other then Easter we stayed at Jenny and Steves apartment in the Lake District. We love both places.
We had our first Christmas together in 1999 we decided that in the new year 2000 we would book our wedding at last as the house was becoming at home after all the long house and hard work we had put in it we loved it.
We are very traditional and wanted a"traditional" wedding so as it was a church wedding we were booked up for 2 years in advance so waited untill 2002! It was worth the wait we had a fantastic special day.
Our honeymoon was in Kenya we both loved culture and animals so we chose Kenya for the romantic sunsets, adventure, a safari, and excitement, we loved it!!!
